About the role: The Procurement Specialist role will work on sourcing and supply chain management of Solar Inverter components and BOS accessories such as inverters, PV modules, structures, cables, ACDB, DCDB, and related components. This person will be accountable for building and managing a strong vendor base, driving cost and process efficiency, and ensuring timely availability of materials.
The role will manage vendor relationships for both accessories and installation services, with a strong focus on market benchmarking, value creation, and reliability. The role also requires close coordination with the Product Quality team to ensure that all sourcing, development, and supplier engagements are fully aligned with Sun King’s global quality standards.
This role may also expand into new product development (NPD) of other product categories, including but not limited to LED lighting, Cooling and other innovative product categories in India by identifying, validating, and onboarding suppliers. The person will work closely with internal teams to align supply readiness with project timelines and quality standards.

What you will be expected to do:
- Oversee procurement and supply chain activities for solar inverters, PV modules, BOS accessories, and EPC services.
- Coordinate closely with the Product Quality team to ensure all sourcing, development, and supplier engagements are aligned with Sun King’s global quality standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors with proven capabilities and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure cost efficiency and value.
- Benchmark vendors and market trends to define optimal product specs with compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Drive value creation through vendor innovation, supply chain optimization, and long-term partnerships.
- Contribute to NPD of solar and LED products through supplier identification and validation.
- Ensure compliance of procured items with technical specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams and EPC partners for timely and smooth execution.
You might be a strong candidate if you have/are:
- 5+ years of proven experience in solar supply chain and procurement.
- Strong vendor network for BOS components and installation services.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, benchmarking, and vendor development.
- Prior experience in contributing to NPD of solar or LED products is preferred.
- Good knowledge of the quality framework for the said components and ability to ensure vendor compliance.
