Calling all wonderful creatives across Lush to have the opportunity to join the Gift Design team Talent Pool and have the chance to be involved in designing the upcoming Halloween and Christmas 2026 Gift Collections.
Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to join the gifts design
Talent pool with the opportunity to join the team for our virtual design workshops. The first collection we will be working on will be Winter 2026, which encompasses both Halloween and Christmas 2026.
After the workshops there will be further opportunities to develop designs that may become a gift in the final Halloween and Christmas 2026 collections.

Introduction
Handmade is at the heart of Lush. So, when it comes to our seasonal ranges, we really do want to knock our customers' socks off. We get our hands dirty collaging, painting, inking and sticking – all the messy, magical bits you used to love as a child – in a bid to make gifts that have stories as well as style.
Large or small, each gift is carefully thought out and crafted, from the handmade treats nestled inside to the final tie of the ribbon. We’d love to say that we make beautiful presents by hand just for the joy of it, but we must confess it’s not entirely without motive. It’s our hope that by paying so much attention to every aspect from box to bath, the lucky recipient has extra incentive to keep the boxes, reuse the wrapping paper or upcycle the ribbons. We’re not manufacturing throwaway fillers but keepsakes that we hope our customers will treasure.
Timeline & Important Dates

- Portfolio submission deadline - 24th November 2025
- Feedback received and shortlisted candidates contacted by - 1st December 2025
- Design Brief deadline for shortlisted candidates - 8th December 2025
- Feedback received and chosen attendees contacted by - 12th December 2025
- Meet the Gift design team and a run through of what is to be expected - Halloween: 7th January 2026, Christmas: 28th January 2026
Virtual workshop week dates
Halloween: 12th - 16th January 2026 (approx 40 hour week, 9am-5pm UK time).
Christmas: 2nd - 13th February 2026 (2x approx 40 hour week, 9am-5pm UK time).
Pay for the workshop week
In order to pay everyone fairly for their contribution to the workshop week, we will be paying a salary of £12.60ph which is the salary of our junior designers within Lush, or your usual salary if higher. We will continue to pay this rate for any further development work given after the workshops should a design be successful. If your pay is higher than this then you will be paid your hourly rate. Your department/shop will need to recharge their wages back to be paid by Gift Design, Cosmetic Warriors.
Please note that the final sign-off process is scheduled for April 2026. If you are on a temporary contract, please ensure your availability aligns with the necessary timeframe to complete the development of your designs before this deadline.

- A digital portfolio of your work with examples of surface pattern design, illustration and any gift ideas you have created (we will not accept original pieces at this stage). Please feel free to include a link to your website, instagram or behance.

- Your Lush email address to contact you on (and a personal email if you’re happy to share it)
- Please let us know if you would like us to retain your portfolio and contact information for future projects by joining our Talent Pool.
