The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, preventative, and repair maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment; the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings, systems of the Branch location; maintaining a clean and safe working environment in accordance with AEC policies, principles, and established procedures. grounds and utility
Key Responsibilities
· Perform machine repairs within the work order and preventive maintenance systems
· Locate machine parts and components within the maintenance inventory system.
· Assist in troubleshooting in all areas of manufacturing
· Replace minor machine parts or components.
· Replace minor electrical machine components.
· Perform basic alignment and calibrations.
· Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
· Inform appropriate employees of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
· Work within filing systems, including work requests, catalogs, drawings, and technical manuals.
· Maintain company machine and equipment records.
· Participate in facility housekeeping and remain alert to potentially hazardous conditions and situations.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in the electrical/mechanical field.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Understanding and knowledge of common hand and power tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills required.
- Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong ability to read, speak, and write in English to perform essential job duties.
