(Associate) Production Manager
Job Overview
Location: Scunthorpe, United Kingdom
Type: Full-time, On-site
Start Date: As soon as possible
At Hyperion Robotics, we are on a mission to bring sustainability and automation to one of the largest and most conservative sectors: the construction industry. Using robotic 3D-printing technology and low-carbon upcycled materials, we are rethinking how construction elements are designed and built. We collaborate with leading clients across construction, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, backed by some of Europe’s top investors.
We are now on the lookout for an (Associate) Production Manager. In this role, you will lead commissioning and early-stage operations of our first UK 3D concrete printing factory, building and developing the production team while ensuring safe, stable, and high-quality output.
This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role and our manufacture is located in Scunthorpe, the UK. It includes a comprehensive 3-week paid technical training program at our HQ in Espoo, Finland, enabling you to master our robotic 3DCP systems before the UK launch.
Performance Objectives:
Within 90 days — Commissioning & Team Ramp-up
Support installation and commissioning of the Printing System, Admixture Room, and Waste Systems according to Hyperion’s approved layout.
Recruit, onboard, and support the training of the initial cohort of 3–5 Production Technicians to ensure safe and reliable early operations.
Within 6–12 months — Operational Stability & Performance
Implement UK-compliant Risk Assessments and embed strong safety practices across all production areas.
Stabilize production to consistently achieve approximately 8 beds/day (single shift) with a 90% yield rate on finished elements.
Deliver daily Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, People, and Cost KPIs, as defined with UK and Finland leadership, through coaching, practical problem solving, and root-cause analysis.
Long-term — Team Development & Future Expansion
Own and lead technician training programs, ensuring scalable capability development as the UK factory grows.
Bring Hyperion’s production excellence to new sites as the business expands.
Before You Consider, Few Questions to Reflect On:
You don’t need to answer these in writing, but they’ll help you understand the role—and they’ll come up naturally during the interview process:
Have you supported factory commissioning, new production line setup, or New Product Introduction before?
Are you comfortable leading a team while also getting hands-on during early phases (e.g., forklift driving, manual curing processes)?
Can you interpret and act on daily operational KPIs across safety, quality, and throughput?
Have you coached teams using lean, Kaizen, or root-cause problem-solving techniques?
Are you comfortable working in an evolving start-up environment where priorities may shift quickly?
When you share your CV, we’re most interested in your motivation to drive and most comparable accomplishments, especially those that demonstrate your ability to meet the performance objectives listed above.

Competitive compensation package, including fringe benefits
Career development opportunities through on-the-job experiences as well as various learning and development activities
Extensive private occupational Healthcare
