AECOM Taiwan are currently seeking an Associate / Senior Architecture Designer, to be based in our Taiwan design studio. The Senior Architecture Designer will serve as a fully capable professional under the direct supervision of Senior Associate or Associate Director.
The Senior Architecture Designer leads an architectural design team and plans, (including budget + resources) schedules, organizes, coordinates and executes the design work on projects of all scales with regular interaction with an Associate Director or designated senior team member.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for leading the architectural design process and ensuring technical excellence, coordination, and timely delivery of all design stages. Acts as the central design lead, aligning multidisciplinary inputs to meet the project’s design brief, budget, and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership:
Directs and coordinates the work of designers within the project team, as well as specialist designers appointed for the project. Provides key architectural direction and leadership from concept through construction. - Technical Coordination:
Makes critical technical decisions to resolve design interfaces and interdisciplinary clashes, ensuring seamless coordination across all disciplines. - Project Delivery & Quality:
Ensures the project is completed on schedule, within the allocated design budget, and in full compliance with company standards, local standards, industry codes, and the client’s Design Brief. - Design Development:
Leads the preparation and delivery of architectural design packages for all stages in accordance with the Initial Project Brief and the Design Programme. - Sub-Consultant Management:
Manages the technical coordination of global design centers (GDC), other AECOM offices, and external specialist sub-consultants to maintain quality and consistency across deliverables. - Budget & Change Control:
Oversees design resource deployment and manages the architectural discipline budget through all project stages, including variations and scope changes. - Quality Assurance:
Regularly reviews team deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client and industry standards, driving continuous improvement. - Communication & Collaboration:
Communicates clearly, purposefully, and accurately with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to align objectives and expectations. - Problem-Solving & Methodology:
Determines effective design solutions, methods, and procedures to ensure optimal project outcomes. - Digital Coordination Tools:
Leads design coordination using Navisworks and other digital tools to enhance model integration and clash detection. - Project Management Integration:
Applies project management principles, monitors design progress, and ensures all outputs align with both design and construction budgets.
