Senior Test Manager

Role of the Test Manager

Solid experience in mobile and enterprise application testing within the finance sector and banking environments. Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing requirements, and ensuring compliance with accessibility and regulatory standards (e.g. EU 2016/2102). Proficient in test planning, UX validation, and defect tracking across Android and iOS platforms. Strong background in project governance, quality assurance, stakeholder communication and sypporting cybersecurity initiatives within finance-driven digital ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement test strategies to ensure software quality and compliance with financial regulatory standards.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage testing activities across mobile and enterprise platforms used by banks and financial institutions.

• Oversee risk analysis, defect tracking, and release planning, ensuring secure and reliable delivery of finance-related applications.

• Support continuous improvement, documentation, and alignment between IT and business objectives.

Qualifications, experience and skills

Essential:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Certifications such as ISTQB (Foundation and Advanced Test Analyst), Agile Master Certified, or SCRUM (SAMC, SAFe) are highly valued.

• Experience in international or European institutions or large-scale multi-vendor projects.

• Excellent command of English (C1 level), both written and spoken.

Desirable:

• Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or IT governance (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) are a plus.

• Knowledge of additional EU languages.

• Experience in international or European financial institutions or large-scale multi-vendor banking projects.

Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to:

• Minimum 12–10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3–5 years in a Test Manager or QA Lead role.

• Proven track record in managing testing for complex systems, especially in finance, banking, or fintech environments.

• Experience with regulatory compliance testing (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, DORA) and accessibility standards (e.g. EU 2016/2102).

• Familiarity with large-scale digital transformation or cloud migration projects in financial services.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical stakeholders in banking and finance.

• Skilled in negotiating within international and multicultural financial environments.
