Health Safety and Wellbeing Supervisor

Te āhua o te tūranga | The nature of the role

As our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Supervisor (Construction), you’ll be at the heart of our BESS projects, ensuring everyone gets home safe and well every day. You’ll be the face of Contact on site, working alongside a tight-knit project team to deliver all facets of battery storage construction – from site mobilisation and earthworks, through to commissioning. Your mahi will include identifying hazards, championing wellbeing initiatives, and being the owner’s voice in daily site forums and toolbox talks.

You’ll thrive in a role where communication is key, connecting the dots and keeping everyone in the loop, whether it’s a kōrero over coffee or a quick chat on site. You’ll work closely with contractors, project managers, and the wider whānau, reviewing plans, asking the right questions, and making sure our high standards for safety and wellbeing are met. This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role where your influence will help shape a legacy for Contact, our communities, and Aotearoa.
