Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a top New Product Development (NPD) client.
This high-visibility role serves as the technical leader for Electrical and Electronic Engineering within the NPD group, owning and driving the direction of electrical/electronic technologies and methodologies. The Engineer will be instrumental in designing and validating cutting-edge, reliable products that meet and exceed customer specifications within a collaborative, close-knit professional team.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the full design and development of complex analog, digital, and microprocessor-based circuits based on specific customer specifications.
- Evaluate and select optimal components and suppliers to ensure the highest standards of performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Create comprehensive technical documentation, including reliability analyses, FMEAs, safety assessments, and qualification reports for customers and regulatory bodies.
- Update and modernize existing legacy designs while simultaneously supporting all new product development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software engineers, operations/production teams, and end customers throughout the entire development cycle.
- Provide clear technical leadership and mentorship within the electrical engineering function, helping to grow and shape the future team.
- Drive the direction of electrical/electronic technologies and tools, serving as the recognized technical authority in this domain.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required.
Experience
- Minimum of seven (7) or more years of engineering experience is required (implied by the Senior title and experience requirement).
- Proven experience with component-level analog and digital circuit design is required.
Certifications/Licenses

Skills
- Familiarity with embedded systems design is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills—proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally and engage directly with customers.
- Demonstrated proactive, self-starting attitude with the desire to own the electrical engineering function and serve as the subject matter expert.
