Key Responsibilities for Shovel Operator, Production: Safe Mining Equipment Operation
- Safely load and unload bulk materials, such as raw materials or waste products
- Move materials to designated locations within the plant or to transport vehicles.
- Operate shovels and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on shovels to ensure they are in a good working condition.
- Keep accurate records of material movements to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements, equipment usage, and any incidents.
- Promptly report any accidents, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns.
Requirements
1. Minimum SPM or equivalent.
2. Able to work on rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and public holidays).
3. Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work with minimal supervision.
4. Good teamwork and communication skills.
5. Able to read and write in Bahasa Melayu and/or English.
