Job Summary

You’ll work closely with mechanical, controls, and operations teams to ensure each product meets safety, performance, and commercial goals.
Electrical systems depth is essential, and knowledge of mechanical systems, controls, and automation is a strong advantage. Candidates who can operate across disciplines and translate between design, manufacturing, and operations will be highly favored.
Essential Functions

- Translate customer one-lines, specifications, and sequence of operations into manufacturable solutions with clear BOMs and options.
- Independently specify and size breakers, bus duct, transformers, VFDs, UPS systems, and monitoring components.
- Collaborate with mechanical and controls teams to integrate electrical, BAS/BMS, and EPMS systems into full packaged solutions.
- Partner with the Supply Chain Director, Operations Director, Sales, and President to align product configurations with vendor capacity, cost targets, and delivery schedules.
- Support prototyping, FAT/SAT, and first-article builds; troubleshoot wiring, control logic, and interlock issues quickly and effectively.
- Produce and maintain electrical one-lines, wiring diagrams, datasheets, and submittals under tight revision control.
- Work directly with vendors and fabricators on enclosures, bus bar layouts, wire routing, labeling, and QA/QC standards.
- Contribute to intellectual property development through modularized electrical designs and DFM/VAVE principles.
Complete assigned deliverables on time and within budget.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in electrical systems, power distribution, or industrial product development; mission-critical/data center background strongly preferred.

- CAD proficiency (AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, or similar).
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, controls, and automation desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-moving environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional and customer engagement.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data center electrical systems such as PDCs, UPS, generators, switchgear, and EPMS integration.
- Exposure to commissioning processes, including FAT, SAT, or system-level electrical testing.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes commonly used in electrical system design and power distribution (for example, NEC, IEEE, UL, and NFPA 70E).
