Job Overview

As a Business Development Manager Direct Supply at ETG, you will play a key role in growing our hotel portfolio.

Your main focus will be identifying promising hotel partners, building strong relationships, and securing new collaborations. The role combines commercial skills with a solid understanding of hotel systems and effective project management.

From negotiating partnerships to supporting onboarding, you will be central to driving our growth and long-term success!

This is a remote vacancy open to candidates residing in Spain.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify potential opportunities for growth in designated destinations; 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to inform contracting strategies; 
  • Utilise extranet tools and negotiation skills to directly contract with hotels, ensuring favourable terms, rates, and inventory allocation; 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel partners to maximise mutual benefits and enhance our competitive position; 
  • Negotiate competitive rates, discounts, and value added amenities with hotel partners to secure preferential pricing for our clients; 
  • Proactively communicate special offers, promotions, and unique selling points to clients to enhance their overall experience and satisfaction; 
  • Monitor the performance of contracted hotels, including occupancy rates, revenue generation, and client feedback; 
  • Ensure that contracted rates align with market demands and client expectations while maintaining profitability for the company; 
  • Manage the entire contracting process, from initial negotiations to contract execution and renewal; 
  • Ensure all contractual agreements are accurately documented, compliant with company policies, and effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders; 
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and product teams, to align contracting efforts with business objectives and client needs; 
  • Spend approximately 30% of your working time on business trips, including meetings with clients, industry events, and other business-related events; 
  • Provide regular updates and reports on market trends, contracting activities, and performance metrics; 
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements governing hotel contracts, including data privacy, antitrust laws, and industry standards; 
  • Mitigate potential risks associated with contract negotiations and maintain a thorough understanding of contractual terms and conditions.

Requirements

  • Relevant Experience. Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in online travel industry or hotel contracting role within the hospitality industry; Established network of hotel contacts and business leads;
  • Analytical skills. Demonstrated experience in market analysis and strategy development, used to data-driven decision-making, metrics-driven and good with numbers;
  • Negotiation skills. Experience in negotiating contracts and agreements with accommodation partners;
  • Familiarity with revenue management principals & strategies;
  • Personal skills. Ambitious, team player, eager to learn, proactive, results-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with hotels and internal teams, as well as excellent organizational skills to manage multiple hotel contracts and agreements simultaneously;
  • International mindset. Ability to understand and work across a wide range of cultural contexts reflecting ETG’s global presence;
  • Language knowledge. Fluent in Spanish and English;
  • Travel Requirements. Up to 30% of travel time may be required.
