FreeBalance is looking for a Project Scheduler to join our implementation team in Costa Rica. This role plays a key part in planning, tracking, and ensuring the successful delivery of a large-scale Government Resource Planning (GRP) implementation project.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Coordinate closely with the project team, including workstream leads, functional consultants, and technical specialists, to collect updates and track progress.
  • Support effective communiation with the customer, ensuring clarity on timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Monitor critical paths, dependencies, and milestones to proactively identify risks and potential delays.
  • Prepare regular schedule performance reports and dashboards for management and executive review.
  • Support resource planning and workload forecasting based on the overall project plan.
  • Maintain alignment between the project schedule, deliverables, and contractual commitments.
  • Assist in change control processes, ensuring schedule baselines are properly maintained and updated.
  • Facilitate smooth coordination and information flow across all project workstreams to ensure schedule consistency and timely delivery.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is considered a strong asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project scheduling or project control roles, preferably in large-scale IT or ERP implementation projects.
  • Proven experience using project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
  • Experience in government or public sector projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
