The Medical Billing Clinical Specialist plays a critical role in advancing Fusion’s mission by bridging deep healthcare knowledge with innovative product development. This hybrid role goes beyond traditional coding — it’s about translating real-world billing challenges into scalable, compliant, and user-centered product solutions. The right candidate will bring a sharp eye for detail, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate across functions. Working closely with engineers, product managers, and client-facing teams, this role will help embed best-in-class coding practices directly into our technology, driving both operational efficiency and client success.

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to enhance billing tools and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coding logic is seamlessly integrated into our platform.
  • Stay ahead of evolving coding regulations and industry trends.
  • Develop training content and support resources for both clients and internal teams.
  • Work directly with clients to understand challenges, gather feedback, and translate needs into product solutions.
  • Be Fusion’s internal expert on medical coding, billing compliance, and industry standards.
  • Experience in designing and developing prototypes and creating proofs of concepts (POCs) for evaluating new technologies.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ medical billing experience with a desired expertise in Medicaid billing.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for solving complex coding challenges.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, and adapting to evolving client needs
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A CPC, CCS, or comparable certification required and current.

Additional Details:

  • This is an on-site (hybrid), full-time, salaried position. Our normal hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. 
  • Salary is DOE, please provide your salary expectations in your application.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000.
