- The HYSL team conducts investment analysis and portfolio management reviews with a focus on future and existing investments.
Role description
- This role forms part of our summer internship programme. This role will offer you the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, diverse, dynamic, and entrepreneurial team comprised of professionals from a range of nationalities. You will work closely with a supervisor in the team.
In this role you will be responsible for (the following combined with project work as required): - Analysing a variety of sectors for High Yield issuers. Analysis shall focus on relative value between companies in designated sectors, developing and highlighting preferences to the team, for companies by sector.
- Conducting financial analysis of public and private companies, understanding the capital structure and key drivers impacting the business.
- Developing an understanding of PowerBI and assist the team with amending and enhancing investment data and reports.
- Supporting the team on ad hoc investor requests and marketing data, assisting with responses to clients as appropriate.
- Assisting with internal performance monitoring at both investment and fund level, enhance understanding of relative performance and the competitive landscape.
- Ad hoc project work as required.
Requirements
Skills/capabilities
We’re looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates an outstanding academic background. You will be proactive, able to work on your own undertaking research across a range of topics, produce a summary of your research and present this to parties across the team/wider organisation.
- Understands basic accounting concepts.
- Has a proven track record of using MS Office products, especially MS Excel, at an intermediate level.
- Communicates fluently in English, both verbally and written.
