Hayfin is one of Europe’s leading private credit alternative asset managers with approximately €35 billion in assets under management. Headquartered in London, the team operates across all major European geographies with offices in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Madrid and Milan, and has a growing presence in the United States with an office in New York.
The Private Credit Portfolio Monitoring team conducts reviews of existing portfolio investments and prepares analytics to add insight to the portfolio construction process and investor reporting.
Role description
This role forms part of our summer internship programme. This role will offer you the opportunity to be part of a collaborative, diverse, dynamic, and entrepreneurial team comprised of professionals from a range of nationalities and provide valuable insight into private credit monitoring and investing.
- Assist in tracking and analysing financial and operational performance of portfolio companies
- Subject to timing, support the preparation of one quarterly portfolio review
- Assist with reviewing and maintaining portfolio monitoring data for investor reporting and wider use around the organisation
- Collaborate with team members to identify trends and risks across the portfolio.
- Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to investment processes
Requirements
Skills/capabilities
We’re looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates an outstanding academic background. You will be proactive, able to work on your own undertaking research across a range of topics.
- Understands basic accounting, corporate finance and valuation concepts.
- Has strong analytical and numerical skills and is comfortable analysing and processing financial data.
- Is a proven team player.
- Has a proven track record of using MS Office products, especially MS Excel, at an intermediate level.
- Communicates fluently in English, both verbally and written and is able to articulate complex ideas simply and summarise them effectively.
