As Transport & Trade Procurement Expert you are responsible in leading procurement activities from initiation to contract finalization in close collaboration with key stakeholders to attain the best possible Transport & Trade related suppliers and contracts in the Logistics Region.
Key responsibilities
- Secure that procurement is done in line with defined Category Strategy (e.g. nr of services per market, sustainability goals etc.) including operational and commercial goals.
- Responsible to ensure that key cross-functional stakeholders are involved in the procurement process to define goals & strategy, business needs and risks, also assessing new and existing suppliers, evaluating offers and enabling decision making.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Contract Managers to identify and implement the most optimal procurement-, negotiation- and commercial strategy in the Logistics Region.
- Responsible for presenting the outcome of the procurement process and recommending the best deal.
- Responsible to follow governance process according to agreed thresholds and approval rights.
- Ensure that market analysis, benchmarking and due-diligence are part of procurement process, also securing follow-up of the outcome of the procurement process over time.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Define needs and constantly improve procurement tools to streamline processes, maintain accurate records and improve databases, benchmarking and transparency.
- Actively stay up-to-date on global logistics end-to-end operational status, KPIs, issues and risks.
- Identify sustainability opportunities and challenges from a social, economic and environmental perspective.
