Our Benefits & Wellness Team is looking for a Benefits Administrator who is detail-oriented, people-focused, and passionate about helping colleagues navigate their benefits with care and accuracy. This is a great opportunity to build expertise in benefits administration while supporting a values-driven company.
As the Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of all company health, wellness, and retirement programs across North America. You will maintain a strong understanding of Lush’s benefit plans and policies to ensure accurate delivery, build relationships with brokers and third-party administrators, and support employees with enrolments, questions, forms, and policy inquiries.
Supporting our employees across Canada and the US, your core RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
- Process North American benefit enrolments, changes, and terminations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update employee benefit records in the benefits administration system and through vendor integration files.
- Respond to employee inquiries about benefits via the ticketing system.
- Assist with coordinating new hire orientation materials and benefits packets.
- Follow up on missing or incomplete documentation related to benefit changes.
- Support the administration of open enrolment, including preparing communications, supporting employees, and tracking participation.
- Generate routine reports for benefits usage, eligibility, and compliance.
- Support in the administration of retirement benefit programs for Canada and the US.
- Reconcile vendor reporting for status changes and employee alerts.
- Monthly invoice tracking and processing.
- Assist in the coordination of communications for staff regarding benefits changes, wellness initiatives, and Colleague Center updates.
- Support with compliance of benefit applications; ACA, ERISA, Securities Act, ESA and audit for discriminatory practices, COBRA compliance, and policy enforcement.
- Liase with third-party vendors to escalate employee issues or request reporting.
- Assist the Benefits Specialist in the administration of leaves and disability claims.
- Communicate benefits options during leaves and partner with payroll and accounting to process premium payments and deductions.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1-2 years of experience with data administration in a high-volume environment
- Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail
- An analytical mindset with the ability to handle large volumes of data and confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Knowledge of benefit plan offerings in the US and Canada
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other ADP applications
- Proficiency in a second language is a plus, especially French or Spanish
Location: Remote - Canada or US
Salary Range:
- US: $49,500 - $55,000
- CAD: $50,000 - $55,000
