Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) Technical and Functional Architect to join our LADWP AMS Support Project. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on technical and functional expertise in Oracle CC&B applications, with strong development skills and experience in both solution design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and plan multiple phases of the Customer Information System (CIS) implementation lifecycle — from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Perform techno-functional duties across business process analysis, system configuration, development, integration, and testing.
- Conduct workshops to gather requirements, analyze current processes, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Design and document functional and technical specifications aligned with business needs.
- Oversee and perform defect management, including analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure solution alignment and project success.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans to track progress and ensure timely delivery.
- Provide production support and continuous improvement recommendations post-implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities CC&B in both technical and functional capacities.
- Proven experience in CIS implementation or support projects.
- Strong knowledge of Java, SQL, and Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
- Proficiency in system configuration, custom development, and integration within Oracle Utilities applications.
- Deep understanding of business process analysis, design, and re-engineering.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with defect management and resolution processes.
- Ability to lead workshops and facilitate alignment between technical and business teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with LADWP or other utility industry clients.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or related Oracle Utilities cloud platforms.
- Exposure to Customer-to-Meter (C2M) or other Oracle Utilities applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
