What you’ll do:

We’re hiring two casual team members to start immediately at the newly refurbished Derwent Bridge Hotel. We're looking for a front-of-house superstar who can manage high volume orders and knows how to multitask behind a bar. We also looking for someone to balance front of house duties with assisting behind the scenes as a kitchen hand.

You'll provide exceptional service with a warm welcome. You’ll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. On a daily basis you will:

  • Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages.
  • Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties.
  • Setup and reset restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required.
  • Keep our kitchen running smoothly by handling general cleaning in food prep areas, washing dishes, and lending a hand to the chefs with ingredient prep and assembly

What you’ll bring:  

  • Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce 
  • Strong bar and cocktail making experience
  • A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine.
  • A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
  • Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
  • Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
