What you’ll do:

Step into the heart of Tasmania’s wilderness and bring your passion for hospitality to Altitude Restaurant & Bar, the signature dining experience at Cradle Mountain Hotel. Here, we don’t just serve meals – we create unforgettable moments against a backdrop of breathtaking alpine scenery. In this full-time role, you’ll work across our dining venues, delivering exceptional service with a warm welcome. Every guest is unique, and you’ll treat them as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient, can-do attitude while thriving in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. On a daily basis you will:

• Under the direction of the Senior Chef on shift, undertake cooking, baking, pastry cooking or butchering duties to a consistently high standard.
• Assist with maintaining the general cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment.
• Support the training of Kitchen Attendant staff.

What you’ll bring:  

• Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in kitchen operations.
• A genuine passion for your craft, with the ability to create and present contemporary dishes that showcase the best of local produce.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a team and engage with colleagues.
• Formal qualifications in commercial cookery.
• The resilience and efficiency to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, managing a high volume of covers with precision and quality.
• DoFoodSafely certificate of completion
