About the role
We're looking for a dynamic leader with a passion for mentoring and developing high-performing sales teams to join us as a Sales Development Team Lead to guide our Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to achieving their goals and driving our growth. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a rapidly-growing team, mentor developing talent and provide insights to improve lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor the SDR team to achieve individual and team goals, operating as a coach and a player when needed;
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings to provide coaching, feedback and support, manage low performance and analyse key metrics to identify areas for improvement;
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team;
- Design and deliver ongoing training programmes to enhance product knowledge, objection handling, prospecting tactics, sales techniques and market understanding, and monitor training effectiveness;
- Assist with SDR recruitment and interviewing, and help facilitate onboarding plans for new SDRs to ensure a smooth transition into their roles;
- Manage daily team activities, including call blocks, email campaigns and other outreach efforts to ensure team members are hitting all KPIs;
- Oversee inbound and outbound leads;
- Ensure proper use of CRM and sales enablement tools to track performance and activity;
- Conduct and create weekly call blocks, prospecting flows, SDR campaigns and reports;
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to align lead generation strategies and initiatives;
- Provide insights and feedback to Marketing on lead quality and campaign effectiveness;
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute sales development strategies and ongoing enablement;
- Foster positive and productive SDR and AE partnership.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a sales leadership role in a tech environment, preferably in a DaaS or SaaS environment;
- Experience establishing a high-performance culture within a sales team;
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
- Proficiency in CRM and sales enablement tools;
- Analytical with the ability to extrapolate data to inform performance improvements;
- Highly collaborative, detail-oriented and motivated by results;
- Positive attitude with a growth mindset.
