Job Overview

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES The incumbent must be able to lead and oversee clinical data analytics initiatives, ensuring the timely and accurate extraction and delivery of data requests from the Electronic Medical Record. The role requires strong coordination with various departments, the ability to manage data-driven projects, delegate analytical tasks effectively, and provide direction to team members with varying technical and clinical backgrounds. He/She must be capable of identifying, planning, and managing resource needs, ensuring compliance with institutional policies on data governance, and stepping into the role of the department manager in their absence. The Clinical Data Analytics Manager is expected to promote a culture of data integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all analytics operations.

Requirements

Skills / Competencies and Personal Attributes:

  • Familiar with the institution’s EMR system — including its data structure, reporting modules, and workflow integration.
  • Proficient in assessing data requirements and translating user needs into technical specifications and analytical outputs.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret clinical data and ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Well-versed in using data visualization and reporting tools and familiar with SQL or other data query languages.
  • Skilled in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and facilitating collaboration across clinical, IT, and administrative functions.
  • Knowledgeable in project management methodologies and capable of leading analytics or system enhancement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Assertive yet approachable, with strong interpersonal and leadership qualities that promote teamwork and a data-driven culture.
  • Computer literate, updated with analytics trends and technologies applicable in a tertiary hospital institution.
