Divisional Manager-HOU

About the role

 As the Division Manager (Houston), you will oversee and direct all project- and field-related activities within your division or geographic area. Your responsibilities will include prospect development, project execution, change management, and field activities. You will also provide guidance, coaching, and support to our Estimating, Project Management, and General Superintendent teams to achieve both divisional and company-wide goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development: Collaborate with sales and estimating teams to identify and develop new business prospects.
• Market Insight: Leverage your understanding of local and regional markets to drive project success.
• Client Retention: Foster strong client relationships through exceptional customer service and project execution.
• Project Oversight: Lead the project management team in detailing, fabrication, and field execution.
• Resource Management: Ensure the local fabrication shop and field erection teams have the necessary resources.
• Performance Monitoring: Track project and operational performance, developing action plans as needed.
• Team Leadership: Manage all aspects of the Project Management and Field Erection teams, including hiring, training, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Extensive experience in construction project management, with progressively increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations, codes, and best practices.
• Understanding of business principles with strong organizational skills.
• Honesty, integrity, confidentiality.
• High level of professional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong managerial skills and team player.
• Professional presence and attitude.
• Skills: Strong understanding of project execution, change management, and customer service in the construction industry. Experience with P&L management and basic finance principles.
