Maintenance Specialist (Mechanical)

Job Overview

JOB SCOPE: 

Guide and train maintenance technicians perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on Farm systems, process controllers, and equipment ensuring the efficient running and prolonged service life of the machines and equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

2. Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

3. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

4. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

5. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as mega-ohmmeters, voltmeters/clamp meter tester to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.

6. Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment, such as motors and other equipment.

7. Place conduit (pipes or tubing) inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.

8. Stays on-call even during off-hours and rest days to help maintain and ensure the good running condition of all electrical equipment at all times.

9. Attends to electrical repairs and other requirements of Grow fin Farms and Poultry

10. SAP Time confirmation from technician

11. Conduct SAP request Preventive, corrective, Breakdown and other maintenance related work orders

12. Compliance with 5'S activities & ISO 9001:200

13. Recommend and Suggest improvements "KAIZEN” as part of Department Quality Improvements activities.

14.  Conducts Technical Trainings on Repairs and Maintenance standard protocols for maintenance technicians.  Ensures compliance and adherence of the team on these standards by continuous random and regular audit checks on the performance of these standards by the maintenance team.

15.  Attends escalations of complex or higher level troubleshooting as required by maintenance technicians or operations team.

FOOD SAFETY:

  1. Complies with quality, Halal (if applicable), health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.

  2. Responsible for reporting problems related to the Food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.

  3. OTHER TASKS:

  4. Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sustainability, corporate social responsibility,  risk management etc. 

  5. Performs other tasks related to the job as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
