🏢 Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive U.S Senior Accountant to join our dynamic project accounting team. The position will report to the Project Accounting Manager and will be responsible for month end functions working with the project accounting team and assisting with the Company's financial statements preparation under US GAAP.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Drive the project accounting month end close processes including on a monthly basis the preparation and review of all journal entries, schedule reconciliations, TB reviews.
- On a quarterly basis, preparation of the quarterly reporting packages including financials, DSCR, distributions, operating reports, and other reporting requirements as necessary.
- Work closely with the treasury operations team and provide a timely weekly review of subcash and monthly review of bank reconciliations.
- Assisting in the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP.
- Preparing and maintaining various schedules to support financial statements and footnote disclosures.
- Working collaboratively with various business units to gather information and build a strong understanding of the company's operations and ensure accurate disclosures in the Company's financial statements.
- Assisting in implementation of new accounting standards and processes related to the ERP system.
- Providing suggestions and support for process improvements/efficiencies
- Assisting with requests from external auditors to provide necessary documentation and information for audits.
Requirements
💡 Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Excellent communication in English language (Both oral and written).
- Bachelor's or masters degree in accounting or finance / CA / ACCA.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant public accounting experience and combined industry and public accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to independently perform research to propose a solution for accounting issues
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel skills
- Experience with NetSuite and/or other ERP systems
- Ability to work well both independently and as a member of a close-knit team
- Solid relationship building skills and ability to interact with individuals at all levels
