You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and each supplier’s production.

You will be part of a global inspection team assuring the quality of components and assemblies. Once on the team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and each supplier’s production.
Responsibilities:
- Review final inspection or critical features.
- Review of Final inspection sign-off sheet.
- Verification that inspection equipment used to take measurements is capable of detecting defects.
- Verification that inspection methodology is adequate per drawing intent.
- Assure products are free of gaps, mismatches, fairing, and of acceptable contour and waviness.
- Assure products are of good workmanship and within specified workmanship standards (e.g., oil canning, riding conditions, loose fasteners, drill starts, scratches, dings, burrs, fastener edge distance, etc.).
- Verify all visible part finishes, paint, and skin quality are acceptable to required visual standards.
- Verify hardware cleanliness and absence of internal or external foreign object debris.
- Verify fasteners are properly installed; assure torque stripe is continuous from head to the surface and of correct color.
- Verify applicable First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements have been completed, traceability of supporting records, documentation of results and overall compliance.
- Verify shipping documentation is legible and includes correct identification (part number, serial number), configuration change letter, PD line item/quantity/change letter, shipping destination, etc.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in aerospace or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of inspection methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
