Payroll and Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll and HR Specialist to manage payroll operations and provide comprehensive HR support for two companies, covering approximately 220+ employees. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain compliance with labor regulations, and assist in various human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process bi-monthly payroll for two companies (200+ employees) using Netchex software.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping, resolve clock-in/clock-out discrepancies, and obtain necessary supervisor approvals.
- Prepare and transmit payroll data to QuickBooks for invoicing and general ledger integration.
- Manage HR administrative tasks such as job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination through Netchex.
- Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding payroll, leave, and HR policies.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and federal/state labor regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and the accounting team to ensure payroll accuracy and timely reporting.
- Support new hire onboarding and maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Work Schedule- Monday to Friday | 8am - 5pm CT
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing and HR support roles.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems- experience with Netchex preferred (ADP, Paychex, or similar acceptable).
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
