Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Front Desk Receptionist to support our client’s medical practice. The ideal candidate will excel in patient communication, administrative coordination, and insurance-related tasks. Proficiency with TEBRA (formerly Kareo) is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with professionalism, accuracy, and empathy.
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, general inquiries, and practice-related support.
  • Conduct follow-up calls for patient no-shows or cancellations to ensure continuity of care.
  • Complete accurate and timely insurance verifications for all new and existing patients.
  • Process prior authorizations for medications and treatments in alignment with insurance guidelines.
  • Maintain organized, up-to-date, and accurate patient records within TEBRA.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting.
  • TEBRA (Kareo) experience is required — no exceptions.
  • Strong knowledge of medical insurance plans and verification procedures.
  • Hands-on experience with medication prior authorizations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to multitask and stay organized.
  • Professional, compassionate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week contractor position, scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. The hourly rate ranges from $6 to $8, depending on experience and skill level.
