Overview

The Client Communications Specialist is the first point of contact for SLP clients and plays a critical role in ensuring positive client experiences. This position manages the majority of inbound calls, emails, and correspondence, while also providing support with financial-related follow-ups. By acting as a bridge between clients, financial institutions, and internal departments, the Specialist helps maintain smooth workflows, clear communication, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact on the firm’s phone tree and manage high call volumes with professionalism.
  • Answer, triage, and direct the majority of inbound client calls, emails, and messages.
  • Place outbound calls to clients regarding settlement disbursements, financial follow-ups, and documentation requests.
  • Accurately document all client interactions in the firm’s case management software.
  • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring clients feel informed, respected, and supported throughout their case.
  • Collaborate closely with settlements, disbursements, and case management teams to ensure timely communication and follow-through.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and special projects related to client communications.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required, with strong fluency in both written and verbal communication.
  • 2+ years of experience in a client-facing, customer service, or legal support role preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive conversations and de-escalate client concerns.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional phone etiquette, polished communication style, and ability to convey empathy and understanding.
  • Comfort with case management systems, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools.
