DAT Director
Full-time DirectorJob Overview
๐ About The Paradigm Shifters (TPS)
We are building a next-generation public blockchain architecture powered by cutting-edge cryptography โ including Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZKP) and witness encryption. By decoupling verification from computation, our protocol unlocks massive performance gains, modular flexibility, and privacy-preserving smart contract design.
Our modular chain is purpose-built for developers โ designed to support advanced use cases in payments, AI agents, and beyond. Backed by pioneers in the blockchain space, including the Neo Foundation, a globally distributed team of blockchain pioneers, PhDs, cryptographers, and researchers/engineers. We're preparing for launch โ and looking for our visionary.
Our Team includes around 20 people: Founder, Research & Consensus Engineering (13), Founding GTM, Founding P&T/Ops, Director of Marketing, Tech Content Writer
๐ฏ The Role
We are seeking a DAT Director to design, model, and optimize the economic framework of our chain, its native utility mechanisms, and future partnership technologies.
This is a founding-level role: you will architect incentive structures, design community distribution frameworks, run simulations, and refine mechanisms post-launch. Youโll collaborate across research, engineering, marketing, content, and BD to ensure the digital asset architecture aligns with protocol design, ecosystem growth, and long-term sustainability.
๐จ What Youโll Do
- Build the full digital asset and governance architecture from scratch โ including incentive design, distribution frameworks, and unlock schedules.
- Create participation systems for validators, users, and developers that work in practice.
- Run economic modeling and simulations to pressure-test edge cases and stress-test system assumptions.
- Integrate digital asset design seamlessly into protocol development with engineers.
- Design and operate both sides of grants: create programs for distributing ecosystem/community grants and structure frameworks for identifying, applying to, and receiving grants from partners, foundations, or research bodies.
- Shape treasury strategy, DAO frameworks, and CEX/DEX participation models.
- Track and analyze ecosystem performance before and after launch, iterating quickly.
- Stay on top of emerging research and industry practices, bringing in the best ideas while avoiding known pitfalls.
Requirements
โ Requirements
- 8+ years in economics, finance, or decentralized systems; strong grounding in cryptography and mechanism design.
- 5+ years architecting digital asset economies, market mechanics, or decentralized resource frameworks.
- Proven track record building or advising on large-scale decentralized networks or labs.
- Deep knowledge of game theory, incentive alignment, and governance mechanisms.
- Experience structuring grants programs (outbound) and securing external grants/funding (inbound).
- Expertise in treasury design, DAO policy, exchange strategy, and liquidity architecture.
- Familiarity with regulatory considerations across jurisdictions (U.S., Cayman, APAC).
- Hands-on ability with data modeling/simulation; skilled in on- and off-chain analytics.
- Comfort with early-stage chaos: fast pivots, limited resources, high ambiguity.
- Excellent communicator โ able to explain complex mechanics simply.
- Passion for building something new as part of a distributed founding team (California โ APAC).
๐ Bonus Points
- Understanding of how ZK technology impacts incentive and governance design.
- Prior experience with L1, L2, or DeFi ecosystems.
- Published research or whitepapers on digital asset economics or mechanism design.
- Experience building governance systems or DAOs.
- Startup experience โ scrappy, creative, resourceful.
