Scope of Role:
We seek a detail-oriented, highly analytical Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Partner II to join
our finance team. The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Partner II will be the finance business
partner to Executive leaders of Technology. In this role, Senior Financial Planning &; Analysis
Partner II will play an integral part in the forecasting, planning, and reporting of operating expenses
and capital expenditures related to Engineering and Data Science.
This role requires cross-functional partnership across the entire Nielsen organization to develop and
improve reporting packages, planning processes, financial models and analytics. This role will also
provide ad-hoc analysis as needed to support and influence senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting
principles, project/ process management skills and excellent communication abilities. Strong
financial acumen including experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis is a
requirement.
Responsibilities :
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Play a key role in the financial planning cycle ,including monthly/quarterly forecasting, variance analyses against operating plan, trending analyses, resource planning, Cloud cost management and walks vs. prior year for the technology and Infrastructure teams.
- Strategic Initiatives: Perform robust financial evaluation of new technology platforms and strategic architectural shifts, assessing investment impact, risk, and return on capital (ROI/TCO) to inform make-or-buy and platform upgrade decisions.
- Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted financial advisor to Technology Leadership and other senior leaders across the organization, providing financial insights, and supporting their decision-making.
- Performance Measurement: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial models for strategic initiatives to track performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain complex financial models to support business case analysis, and long range scenario planning
