Job Title: Database Developer
Purpose:
Delivery of marketing campaigns and data outputs from client marketing databases
Outcomes:
· All outputs and projects are delivered accurately and on time
· Any investigations conducted are sent to the relevant team with clear reasoning and explanation
· Other teams around the business are kept informed of job status where needed
Measures of Success:
· Accuracy on all jobs is above 85%
· Good relationships built with other teams in OPS and wider business
· Workload well managed at all times
Responsibilities:
- Undertake data cleansing, data manipulation and targeted selections as per campaign requirements
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines & tackle simultaneous tasks and projects effectively
- Run checks and tests to ensure both the accuracy and quality of the selections and outputs is to brief
- Work on standardised development project tasks as required
- Ensure processes are as efficient as possible through continuous reviews and up-skill
- Responsible for escalation of potential issues on designated client account tasks to senior team members as appropriate

Job Title: Junior Database Developer
Responsibilities:
· Technical ownership of client marketing databases
· Accountable for all assigned operational outputs and deliverables in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with agreed SLA’s
· Work on simple standardised development project tasks allocated by team leaders
· Responsible for internal communication on all assigned tasks and projects and escalation of potential issues or delays
· Follow GAIN coding standards of SQL and keeping the scripts tidy at all times
· Responsible for developing and adhering to process and procedure
· Recommending enhancements to existing systems, process and new products delivering your findings to the team to ensure continuous improvement
· Have a good understanding of the functions of other teams and the impact it causes to them and the client during job delays
· Adherence to GAIN policies and procedures

Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and related technologies (including T-SQL programming)
- Able to interpret and run pre-defined processes/scripts
- Knowledge/understanding of relational database concepts
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- A logical and methodical approach to work and problem solving
- Effective communicator with good written and verbal skills
- Highly organised with great attention to the detail
- Process and procedure oriented
- Team player
- Any additional experience in SSIS and SSRS is beneficial but not necessary
- Good to have knowledge of Azure Fundamentals and Databricks.
