The Role
As the IT Event Administrator in Victoria, you will be attending some of the biggest and best events across Australia to deliver IT services for our clients, venues and events. This role is ideal for someone with at least 3 years’ experience who enjoys an active and dynamic IT role outside the office.
Requirements
What does a day in the life look like?
As an IT Event Administrator, your role will be to:
- Ensure there is best-in-class on-site IT support at Ticketek events (and thereby satisfy our client's contractual obligations)
- Install points of sale (PCs, BOCA printers, EFTPOS) at venues, client sites and temporary events
- Administer and maintain ticketing IT infrastructure and access control infrastructure at client venues.
- Coordinate the installation, support and maintenance of I.T. collateral as required such as servers, switches, WAP’s etc..
- Schedule and carry out preventive maintenance of internal and external client equipment and infrastructure.
- Record changes that you make to network or device configuration in the appropriate configuration diagrams or databases.
- Ensure IT support calls are answered and responded to and that fault resolution information is recorded in detail into the service desk database system.
About you
Qualifications & Experience
- Have hands on experience in a technician and/or support specialist role.
- Have experience in working in live events.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Have a customer focused approach to solving customer issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Results-oriented, energetic and innovative approach to work.
- A current Full Australian driver's license.
Desirable experience and skills:
- Prior use of ticketing system/s.
- Windows 10/11 and server 2016 or greater experience.
- Microsoft SQL 2017 or greater familiarity
- Cisco networking experience demonstrated by suitable Cisco qualification.
- Broad network (LAN/WAN) and server experience.
- Familiarity with patron access control solutions desirable
Other key considerations for this position
- Due to the nature of this role, work is required outside of business hours and on the weekend.
- lift/carry more than 5kg from time to time
- spend extended periods of time on your feet at events
