Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, manage, and support daily batch schedules using Control-M.
- Perform job scheduling, modifications, job submissions, and reruns as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve schedule failures, delays, or performance issues across Windows, Unix, AS400, and Mainframe systems.
- Work closely with application, infrastructure, and support teams to ensure timely batch execution.
- Create, update, and maintain job documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
- Analyze recurring issues and implement preventive measures for stability and efficiency.
- Participate in incident, change, and problem management processes using Remedy or similar ITSM tools.
- Ensure 24/7 batch cycle stability by supporting on-call rotations or shift operations.
- Provide reports on job failures, SLA adherence, and batch performance metrics.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within batch operations.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in enterprise job scheduling or batch operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Control-M Operations (Monitoring, job changes, hold/release, reruns, etc.).
- Good knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems—basic commands, file handling, log analysis.
- Exposure to AS400 and Mainframe (JCL, batch jobs) environments.
- Experience working with Remedy or other IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- Understanding of incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in 24x7 or rotational shift environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Control-M Administrator or Advanced Scheduling experience.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, PowerShell, or similar).
- Experience in automation tools or workflow optimization.
- ITIL Foundation certification.
