Automation Engineer (Splunk/Geneos)

As an Automation Engineer specializing in Splunk and Geneos at Unison Group, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions that enhance the performance and stability of our IT operations. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that our systems are monitored effectively and that automation processes are optimized for efficiency.

• Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts and tools using Splunk and Geneos to enhance monitoring capabilities.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations within Splunk to provide insights and reporting on system performance and health.
• Automate processes for deployment, monitoring, and incident response procedures to reduce manual interventions.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of automation frameworks to ensure reliability and performance

Requirements

• Experience as an Automation Engineer, with a specific focus on Splunk and Geneos.

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations, including monitoring and alerting frameworks.
• Experience in building and maintaining dashboards in Splunk for performance monitoring.
• Experience in monitoring and performance tools: Splunk
• Experience in ITRS Geneos Gateway Configuration
