Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Archive Assistant (12-16 hours per week) to support the maintenance and management of the Model Space. The Archive Assistant will play a key role in cataloging, preserving, and organizing architectural models, ensuring they are accessible and well-maintained for internal use and external presentations.
Key Responsibilities
Cataloging and Documentation:
Accurately document and catalog architectural models, including metadata such as project name, date, scale, and materials.
Maintain and update the digital archive system for easy retrieval of models.
Model Preservation and Maintenance:
Ensure models are stored in optimal conditions to prevent damage or deterioration.
Perform regular inspections and minor repairs on models as needed.
Organization and Accessibility:
Organize the Model Space archive to ensure models are easily accessible for team members.
Assist in preparing models for presentations, exhibitions, or client meetings.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with project teams to ensure models are accurately represented and available when needed.
Administrative Support:
Maintain an inventory of materials and supplies needed for model preservation and repairs.
Assist in creating guidelines or manuals for model handling and storage.
