This role is ideal for an experienced SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Consultant with deep functional and technical expertise in Response & Supply and Order-Based Planning (OBP). You will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and optimizing advanced supply chain planning solutions for complex business environments. The position requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, hands-on experience in IBP configuration, and the ability to collaborate with global stakeholders to transform planning operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle projects for SAP IBP Response & Supply and Order-Based Planning (OBP), including system design, configuration, enhancement, and deployment.
• Conduct business workshops to understand requirements, gather functional specifications, and convert them into effective configuration settings and planning models.
• Configure planning areas, key figures, master data types, operators, algorithms, and supply planning heuristics to meet business needs.
• Integrate IBP with S/4HANA, ECC, and other enterprise systems using CI-DS or related integration tools.
• Perform OBP-specific configuration: order confirmation logic, allocation strategies, prioritization rules, sourcing definitions, and pegging relationships.
• Troubleshoot planning run issues, optimize system performance, and ensure smooth execution of end-to-end response and order-based planning activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including demand planning, supply planning, logistics, IT, and business teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
• Provide mentorship, training, and best-practice recommendations to junior consultants and internal teams.
• Support user acceptance testing, cutover planning, go-live preparation, and hypercare.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation such as design specs, functional specs, test scenarios, and training materials.

What Makes You a Great Fit

You are an ideal fit if you bring:

• 9–16 years of total experience, with 5+ years of hands-on work in SAP IBP, particularly in Response & Supply and OBP.
• Deep understanding of supply chain planning concepts like allocation, pegging, order confirmation, optimization, what-if analysis, constraints, and inventory strategies.
• Strong experience integrating IBP with ERP systems (S/4HANA, ECC) using CI-DS, CPI-DS, APIs, or SDI.
• Ability to design, build, and scale complex planning scenarios that address real-world supply chain challenges.
• Solid knowledge of MM, PP, SD, APO, or related modules within the supply chain ecosystem.
• Excellent analytical skills and a solutions-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with global stakeholders and dynamic project environments.
• Additional advantages include SAP IBP certification, experience with advanced planning algorithms, S&OP, Control Tower, or Agile/Scrum methodologies.
