We are now looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our team working on Netvisor Payroll.
Netvisor serves over 40 000 clients in Finland. This means that over 200 000 payslips are created and over 1 million invoices are sent monthly. Our product streamlines the daily lives of Finnish entrepreneurs, accountants, and employees by automating many important processes in invoicing, payroll, and expense management.
What to expect when you join us?
As a Senior Software Developer, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to maintaining our existing software and developing new features. This team currently consists of six developers, supported by designers and architects. Your daily activities include full stack software development with modern (AI) tools and agile working methods, building innovative solutions and refining current functionality based on direct customer feedback.
In addition to AI assisted coding, you will be proactively identifying and driving improvements in the codebase, architecture, delivery, and ways of working. Product Owner will steer the planning and prioritization of the team’s work from a technical perspective. You will have the opportunity to define your own personal OKRs that align with the team’s goals, giving you a clear path for professional growth and impact.

What are we looking for?
In order to succeed in this role, you need a proven track record of building and shipping full stack projects into production and extensive experience in the following areas:
AI Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in AI-assisted development tools and agentic coding. Proven ability to use AI to modernize, refactor, and maintain legacy codebases efficiently. Capability to provide internal training and establish best practices for AI-assisted coding within the dev team.
Building Customer-Facing AI Features: Practical exposure to AI specification driven development and building product features that utilize AI technologies. Previous experience in designing and implementing AI-driven features (e.g. LLM-based platforms) into commercial software to improve end-user business processes.
Software Engineering: Senior-level expertise in .NET (4.8) and ASP.NET. Strong proficiency in SQL Server and competent skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Leadership & Execution: Seniority and ability to coach, mentor, and support more junior team members. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex technical issues. High level of operational efficiency and proactive attitude - you want to get things done efficiently and effectively.
Collaboration & Communication: Experience in working with different stakeholders and a team-oriented mindset. Although English is our company language, in this role fluent communication skills in Finnish are required in order to be able to work with Finnish customer base and payroll related terminology.
Previous experience in Payroll or Financial Management software development or from a highly regulated industry is beneficial, but not at all necessary.

Visma Solutions has offices in Helsinki and Lappeenranta, but you can also work from other Visma offices or remotely from anywhere in Finland. However, it would be awesome if you occasionally visit your team mates in our offices.

The salary range is negotiable depending on your seniority and prior experience, but we are happy to hear your expectations.
