Operations Planner – Viking Travel Care

Job Overview

Operations Planner is responsible for calculating, scheduling and optimizing the day-to-day activities and resources to ensure production goals and efficiency targets for Viking Travel Care’s 24/7 operations.

The responsibility particularly includes long-term planning, but also execution of short-term changes in the shifts, e.g. due to illness, holidays and other.

Depending on the qualifications of the candidate, the role might be combined to include data analysis and/or Learning & Development tasks.

Viking Travel Care is part of the Viking Assistance Group, a leading Nordic player in roadside assistance, vehicle-related services and assistance. Viking has offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Torrevieja and Fuengirola in Spain.

Responsibilities

  • Workload analysis: Assess staffing need per hour, Identify and optimize staffing plans, suggest improvements. Report on current and future staffing situation and need.

  • Scheduling: Prepare, register, and update the plans when needed. Communicate regarding the schedules with the staff.

  • Performance optimization: Analyzing operations and processes to identify and resolve bottlenecks, improving efficiency and reducing costs.

  • Additional tasks: Additional analysis and administrative tasks, e.g. related to planning, staffing, efficiency, emergency preparedness and similar. Additional projects and tasks when needed.

Qualifications

  • Relevant higher education, e.g. in economics/administration or similar.

  • Analytical and structured mindset.

  • A team player with good collaboration skills.

  • Service-minded and proactive.

  • Fluent written and spoken in English, preferably also in Spanish.
    Nordic language is not a requirement, but would be a plus.

Additional merits

  • Experience as a workforce manager or shift planner, preferably from a larger company with seasonal fluctuations.

  • Good knowledge of relevant applicable legislation or readiness to acquire such competence.

  • Experienced user of IT systems and digital tools, particularly with planning tools.

Employment type

Fulltime, office hours Monday to Friday.

One of our offices in Spain, Torrevieja or Fuengirola.
