Construction QC Inspector (EN 1591-4)

Job Overview

We are hiring a Construction QC Inspector with strong piping and flange inspection experience for a major EPC project in Antwerp.

Start: May 2026 (asap)
Duration: Long-term project assignment (1 year + extensions)
Rotation: no

You will be responsible for piping quality surveillance, flange management compliance, pressure test witnessing, punch follow-up, and support to turnover records.

What you must have:

  • Solid background in piping disciplines

  • EN 1591-4 qualification (mandatory)

  • Valid VCA certificate (mandatory - can be obtained later)

  • Minimum 5 years in piping inspection / construction QC

  • Familiarity with completion and turnover process

  • Current NDT Level II qualification according to EN standards

  • Eligibility to work in Belgium (EU)

Main responsibilities:

  • Perform witness, inspection, and surveillance checks on subcontractors

  • Ensure inspection activities are properly recorded

  • Ensure compliance with CQCP, approved ITPs, procedures, and standards

  • Ensure flange management is correctly implemented (traceability, labeling, bolting control, documentation)

  • Monitor subcontractor QC resource levels against agreed quality ratios

  • Issue quality status and trend reports with improvement actions

  • Record punch deficiencies and support expedited rectification

  • Raise and manage non-conformances for subcontractors/suppliers

  • Verify material compliance against codes, specs, and project documents

  • Support pre-test punch listing and witness pressure testing execution

  • Support QC/turnover team in collecting QC records
