Ensure public rooms are kept to Holland America Line cleanliness and maintenance standards.
Supervises team members assigned to public areas and Night Steward teams where applicable.
Supervision of Public Areas and other related housekeeping duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
- Assign work, monitor and supervise public rooms cleaning teams by ensuring that team
members work effectively in accomplishing tasks to meet the quality level and standards
of the company. - Effectively supervise public rooms cleaning teams by providing ongoing coaching,
guidance, training, and correction through good communication, motivation, and
demonstration. - Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date recordkeeping, to include but not limited to public
rooms inspections, maintenance reports, and carpet shampoo schedules. Report
Housekeeping equipment repairs needed and follow up on job orders to ensure
satisfactory completion. Prepare any other paperwork as required by Deck Manager
and / or Executive Housekeeper.
Required Experience
Preferred college or university degree / diploma in hospitality management
related field preferred. International equivalent suffices.
Minimum 1‐year leadership experience in the hospitality industry showing progressive growth in responsibility. Preferred 1‐year of shipboard experience within the Housekeeping Services environment.
Cruise industry experience is preferred though not essential.
