Contract Engineer/Technical Project Manager – Berg Propulsion
Do you want to help develop the marine products of the future? Berg Propulsion is looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive projects from contract signing to delivery and commissioning, contributing to high-quality solutions in propellers, thrusters, and maneuvering systems.
You will be a central part of our international team, coordinating between Sales, Production, subcontractors, and customers. The role combines technical responsibility with project management and social interaction.
What we are looking for:
- Education:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Hydrodynamics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - Practical experience with technical systems, drawings, and project management within engineering/marine industries.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of technical processes, production, and installation flows.
- Strong knowledge of project and order management, as well as documentation and follow-up.
Experience:
- Solid experience and several years working on technical projects (marine industry experience is a plus).
- Independent responsibility for projects from start to delivery.
- Comfortable with customer contact, meetings, and reporting.
Competencies:
- Strong communication skills and social competence – able to build relationships internally and externally.
- Independent, structured, and goal-oriented.
- Technical problem-solver who can lead technical discussions with confidence.
Development potential / Interests:
- Curious and engaged in technical innovation and sustainable marine technology.
- Interested in developing in the role and taking on greater responsibility in complex projects.
- Motivated to contribute to sustainable development and environmentally friendly solutions.
Other requirements / practical conditions:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work from our office/factory on Öckerö/Hönö with a hybrid working model.
- Willingness to travel to customers and shipyards.
