To work within the ACL strand to design and deliver high quality
teaching and learning courses for adults at venues across Bath and the surrounding areas.   

Topics for delivery needed include:
Horticulture
Sustainability
Family Learning
Maths
Crafts
Languages
 

Key Responsibilities

To design and deliver courses for adults with a high standard of teaching and learning.
  •     Plan and deliver specialist sessions using appropriate teaching methods in line with Ofsted standards. 
  •    Support, advise and assist learners to help them progress through the course by providing clear personal objectives and developmental feedback.
  •      Produce plans of learning, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning. 
  •      Ensure that contextualised personal development is embedded into all course planning and delivery. 
  •      Adhere to all quality processes within RARPA guidelines.      
  • To effectively induct learners into courses ensuring clear communication on expectations, personal development and safeguarding. 
  •      To be able to provide pathways and identify CEIAG support for learners to support them in their progression at the college. 
  •      To lead course planning and development ensuring that the provision meets the needs of all learners and there is timely completion of the course and registers. 
  •      Identification and efficiency in procurement of resource requirements for courses to be communicated timely with the ACL coordinator and administration team. 
  •      Awareness and reporting of identification of student’s individual needs and co-ordination of relevant support to meet their needs.
  •      Provide pastoral support to learners, liaising with central support staff where necessary.
  •       Ensure that students have an opportunity to give feedback on their learning experience. 
  •       To evaluate the effectiveness of the course through the application of the course review and evaluation process.
  •      Act as a point of contact for communications to and from students.
  •      To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Teaching Qualification at Level 3 or above. 
  • At least a Level 3 in area of specialism or study
  • Equivalent of GCSE grade 4 (Previously C grade) or above in English & Mathematics
