Junior Legal Counsel
Job Overview
The Junior Legal Counsel will be responsible for supporting the organisation in maintaining the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards. Reporting within the Legal Commercial function, the role provides legal support to commercial teams across multiple entities and forms part of the global legal team.
Main Responsibilities
Acting as the principal point of contact for day-to-day contractual reviews, negotiations, and drafting of commercial agreements and related documentation.
Preparing and reviewing agreements using standard contract templates, including Service Terms and Conditions, subcontracts, consultancy and agency agreements, and reseller agreements.
Reviewing standard agreement terms to ensure alignment with company policies and approved contractual frameworks.
Managing amendments, renewals, and extensions of existing agreements.
Monitoring renewal and extension timelines and coordinating related negotiation schedules.
Presenting legal matters to management, including analysis of risks, available options, and recommended solutions.
Supporting the team with additional ad-hoc legal duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills
Doctor of Laws or equivalent Legal Degree.
Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law.
Excellent command of the English language.
Excellent command of the Maltese language will be a strong asset.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and proactively recommend effective solutions.
