We are a fast-growing global reinsurance speciality company servicing the insurance markets of Lloyd’s, Europe and North America.
 
The Enterprise Risk Manager will collaborate closely with the Group Head of Risk to engage with all stakeholders within Compre. In this role, you will identify, measure, and manage our exposure to risk while ensuring that management, Risk & Compliance Committees and relevant Boards are informed on all risk matters. 

Responsibilities

• Continuously reviewing and improving the Risk Management Framework. This includes the enterprise risk management policy, risk appetite statements, key risk indicators, risk acceptances, risk & control self-assessment, risk event management, and risk management training. Ensuring our risk management system and processes not only reflect good practice, and are aligned with our business needs, but are also proportionate, innovative, and embedded in our operations.
• Uncovering the root causes of risk events by liaising with teams across the lines of defence, to analyse what happened and why
• Creating impactful risk reporting that delivers actionable insights to improve the risk and control awareness and understanding, and action required to address key risks. 
• Promoting and enhancing the overall risk management culture.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Financial Services experience with Insurance knowledge preferred though risk professionals with a wider Financial Services or Banking background will be considered.
• A good understanding of the Solvency II framework.
• Holding a degree or professional qualification of a similar standing in Insurance, Risk Management, Business or Finance. 
• Proficiency with MS Office products. 
• Ability to effectively communicate with people and all levels of management to provide proactive counsel to the business. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Showing initiative and being accountable to ensure success with a real desire to achieve individual, team and company goals. 
• Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across a multi-discipline team environment.
• Contributing positively to our culture and values.
