px Group has operated and maintained this Upper Tier COMAH installation since 2016. We are also the designated duty holder of the associated 32” FUKA and 30” SIRGE pipelines which supply the St. Fergus Gas Terminal. px Group has full accountability for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of both assets.

The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Senior Commercial Advisor. The primary function of the role is to oversee and support the Commercial activities within the Commercial Department. The responsibilities include advising on these areas to ensure that practices, procedures, and systems comply with statutory requirements, industry standards, and px Group guidelines. To deliver accurate and timely production of customer monthly reporting, liaising with other px departments to ensure invoices are raised in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Be responsible for the commercial ops management of key agreements (TPAs, CTIAs, land leases, Service Agreements, Proximity/Crossing Agreements, Pigging Agreements), ensuring contractual obligations are performed accurately and on time.
• Liaise with external counterparties (e.g. upstream Shippers, downstream NGL infrastructure owners, National Gas, NSTA) on a variety of matters.
• Support the framing, negotiation and execution of new commercial agreements.
• Support new Shippers prior to start-up to ensure day-to-day activities run smoothly from day one.
• Support the interface with Gassco for the operation of Vesterled facilities.
• Liaise with NSMP and external legal teams regarding contract amendments or ad hoc commercial issues.
• Coordinate with technical teams (e.g. pipelines, metering, SFGT control room) across the business to ensure commercial operations are carried out in line with business needs and contractual requirements.
• SIRGE JV management.
• Support SFGT Operations teams in gas operations matters (outages, gas specification issues, process modelling etc.)
• Support hydrocarbon allocations team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and commercial principles.
• Support metering team with audit issues and dispensations (gas quality and metering equipment).
• Support in the management and resolution of commercial disputes.
• Be part of the commercial operations on-call team (on rotation).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Requirements:
· Degree or equivalent in finance, legal business or engineering discipline.
· Commercial experience in the UKCS oil and gas industry (preferably midstream sector).
· An understanding of the mechanics of commercial agreements (TPAs, proximity agreements, leases, service agreements, decommissioning agreements).
· Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ideally Power BI.
· Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
· Strong business acumen.
· Strong ability to recognise commercial, operational and financial risk.
· Knowledge and experience in upstream operations is desirable, e.g. metering, gas quality specification issues/dispensations.
· An understanding of the basic principles of gas metering, allocation, attribution and nomination.
· A commercial mind-set with a focus on delivery and performance as well as problem solving.
· The ability to establish and communicate clearly with a variety of different teams (e.g. technical, operations, commercial, legal).
· Strong organisational skills, be proactive, flexible and able to work to deadlines.
· Knowledge of UKCS and industry standards and regulations.
