Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager
Full TimeJob Overview
We are looking for mid-level consultants (Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager level) with experience across strategy development, business transformation, organisational design, workforce planning, and change management to join our Business Consulting team. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including business process and operating model design, strategic workforce planning, and change and transformation delivery. Experience working on technology or HR projects is also a plus, as we work closely with our business-led technology team on a range of systems implementation programmes.
This is a hybrid role, based in our offices on Westland Row, Dublin 2 (beside Pearse Street DART station). As a senior-led firm, we expect candidates to be confident operating with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of their work while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
We are looking for a self-starting, ambitious candidate who is ready to take the next step in their career and join a fast-growing organisation. We are particularly interested in people with a commercial mindset, a natural curiosity, and a drive to deliver results while contributing to our continued growth.
Four key aspects of this role that should be very interesting to the right candidates:
- Diverse Client Engagements: Work across multiple client projects simultaneously, with a dynamic mix of time spent in our Dublin office, on-site, and remote. Our engagements span private, public, commercial semi-state, and not-for-profit sectors—offering exposure to a rich variety of industries, sizes, and challenges.
- Unmatched Breadth of Experience: From strategy development and organisational design to change management and process engineering, you’ll be hands-on across the full consulting lifecycle. No silos, no narrow specialisms—just accelerated learning and direct client impact from day one.
- Our Impressive Client Portfolio: Our clients represent a wide spectrum. We partner with FTSE100s, SMEs, and leading organisations across sectors including Pharma, Media, Retail, Education, Financial Services, Technology, Construction, Agri-Food, Telecoms, Energy, Aviation, FinTech, and more.
- Career Growth Opportunities: You’ll take on real responsibility, leading smaller engagements and contributing to major ones. Progression is based on capability, not tenure, with a clear path to Assistant Manager, Manager, and Senior Manager. You’ll shape client delivery, develop new propositions, and help grow the business.
Key Accountabilities:
- Strategic Growth: Play an active part in driving the growth of Business Consulting Services.
- Performance: Deliver on key metrics, including utilisation, and client satisfaction.
- Personal Growth: Develop yourself professionally and take opportunities to grow your skills and capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with senior colleagues, and engaging directly with client executives and leadership teams, you will contribute to and in some cases own delivery in the following areas:
- Strategy & Transformation: Supporting the development and execution of business strategies and strategic plans, and working with organisations to design and deliver transformation programmes and initiatives. This includes improving operations and performance, optimising roles and responsibilities, embedding sustainability, and ensuring alignment between people, processes, and technology.
- Organisational Design & Workforce Planning: Applying established tools and methods to deliver organisational design and strategic workforce planning programmes. This may involve organisational and cultural change, leadership alignment, change leadership, stakeholder and employee engagement, performance improvement, and communications.
- Data Analytics & Insights: Analysing large and complex datasets, identifying opportunities for improvement, drawing insights, and translating them into actionable outcomes.
- Business Process & Operating Model Design: Supporting organisations in analysing, assessing, and mapping business processes and operating models to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen ways of working, and drive operational efficiency.
- Business Analysis: Mapping business requirements, assessing organisational challenges, and documenting clear, actionable solutions to support delivery.
- Project & Change Management: Setting up, initiating, and delivering projects using Eaton Square and/or client methodologies and tools, while designing and embedding change initiatives that ensure sustainable adoption within organisations.
- Business Development: Shaping professional business proposals, and developing responses to public tenders and consultations from start to finish. This also includes working with internal teams on sales strategy initiatives, contributing to the development of new propositions, and bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to expanding the firm’s service offering and client base.
In addition, you will be expected to:
- Lead the delivery of defined workstreams or small transformation projects, ensuring outputs are robust, insightful, and aligned with client objectives.
- Collaborate with Managers and senior leaders to prepare client presentations, proposals, and thought leadership content.
- Coach and develop junior consultants, developing a collaborative, high-performance culture within project teams.
- Demonstrate a natural drive and interest in keeping informed about the latest trends and developments relevant to our clients’ industries (e.g. FinTech, FMCG, services, agrifoods, public sector, current affairs, and digital innovation) and bring these insights into project work.
