About the Role
Do you want to help develop the marine propulsion systems of the future?
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who wants to take full technical responsibility for projects related to government clients. You will play a key role both in ongoing sales projects and in the execution of contracts within Berg Propulsion’s Governmental/Naval business area. The role involves both internal cross-functional collaboration across several departments and external interaction with customers and suppliers.
The position is based in Hönö, with some international contact, opportunities for travel, and the possibility of hybrid work.
Security clearance may be required.
Education
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
- Advantageous: Project management training or certification (e.g., IPMA, PMP).
Responsibilities
- As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Owning and driving technical solutions within Governmental Solutions.
- Participating in sales projects and order projects from quotation to delivery.
- Representing Governmental Solutions in dialogue with customers and partners, as well as at exhibitions and other events.
- Developing and designing technical solutions based on customer and market requirements.
- Ensuring that orders are delivered on time, with the right quality and scope, according to agreements.
- Initiating and driving development projects to strengthen Berg Propulsion’s capabilities within the marine defense industry.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with internal expertise areas.
- Conduct industry technology intelligence.
- Contributing to supplier development related to Governmental Solutions.
- Participating in improvement initiatives, for example within ILS or shock requirements.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of technical systems, product development, and requirements management.
- Familiarity with marine propulsion systems and mechanical design.
- Solid knowledge of project management, planning, and technical documentation.
- Advantageous: Insight into marine specifications.
- Languages: Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in technical project management, preferably within marine, defense, or manufacturing industries.
- Experience with customer interaction, quotation work, technical specifications, and supplier collaboration.
- Experience working cross-functionally in development or order projects.
