What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and talented Trade Marketing Officer to join our Agro Team in Douala, Cameroon. He/she should enhance SOLEVO's brand visibility, lead promotional actions, and optimize the marketing budget to boost product performance.

What do we expect from the candidate?

We expect the candidate to reinforce SOLEVO’s brand image across POS (point of sales) and SHF (Small Holder Farmers), implement visibility and merchandising strategies, coordinate ATL/BTL and digital marketing actions, and ensure efficient use of the annual marketing budget.

The key responsibilities:

Implementation of the Agro visibility and merchandising policy:

  • Implement standards in collaboration with the Responsible of distribution

  • Ensure continuous monitoring of POS and train distributors in merchandising

  • Produce monthly report of the implemented actions and do the follow-up

  • Identify the needs of the POS

  • Collaborate with suppliers and obtain the best quality/price offers

  • Manage the goods and provide quarterly inventory

  • Ensure good ventilation and the use of communication equipment

Promotional plans:

  • Be proactive in designing the plan with the Business Line Director Agro and the Group Marketing Operations

  • Ensure implementation and monitoring in collaboration with the ATCs and ATRs

  • Provide monthly report of the implemented actions and do the follow-up

  • Update the tracking file

  • Consolidate the SHF database

  • Identify the needs of the Agro department

  • Collaborate with suppliers and obtain the best quality/price offers

  • Manage goods and provide quarterly inventory

  • Ensure good ventilation and use of communication equipment

ATL and digital marketing program :

  • Identify the needs of the Agro department

  • Collaborate with service providers and obtain the best quality/price offers

  • Ensure the proper implementation of the program in collaboration with ATCs and ATRs and provide monthly report

Budget :

  • Identify marketing needs in line with the annual Agro commercial strategy

  • Design and propose the budget accordingly

  • Execute and follow the validated budget

  • Provide monthly statement of the budget

If you possess…

Must-Have:

  • At least 3/5+ years of experience in Marketing or Sales.

  • Strong retail culture and practice.

  • Analytical and strong planning ability

  • Negotiation techniques

  • Excellent communication skills in French and English (a plus) for effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Bachelor or Master's degree with solid experience in Marketing, Agriculture or related field.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Excellent knowledge of sales (channels, distribution, coverage, merchandising)

  • Excellent knowledge of marketing (strategy, operational, communication, studies)

  • Knowledge of agricultural supplies and agronomy would be a plus
