Analyst, Reconciliations & Transaction Reporting

Job Overview

Completion of processing and reconciliation controls to ensure transaction reporting meets FCA/MIFID 2 regulatory requirements. Processing and resolving of stock reconciliation breaks to ensure we are compliant with FCA CASS 6.6 regulation. 

Key Responsibilities

Reconciliations:
  • Completion and checking of internal, physical and external reconciliations of all client custody positions to CASS 6.6 requirements and to the agreed frequency, ensuring actions are documented in SharePoint as required.
  • Completion and checking of daily & monthly reconciliation reports.
  • Preparation of data for the firms monthly CMAR return.
Transaction Reporting:
  • Completion and checking of the daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of transaction reporting data, both for reportable and non-reportable instruments, ensuring all end to end processing controls are completed to ensure correct reporting to RTS22 and MiFIR article 26 requirements.
  • Completion of the creation & uploading the XML file to the Approved Reporting Mechanism.Assisting with annual HMRC reporting, ISA annual returns of statistical information and ISA annual returns for information.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Investment Operations Certificate: Preferred to evidence the individual knowledge of the whole industry and dedication to their own career.
  • Internal Regulatory Competency: In the absence of the IOC individuals can complete the internal competency exam to show the required level of understanding of regulation, process and risk requirements.
  • Experience: 2+ years in operations within the financial services industry preferred. 
  • Regulatory Knowledge: A high level understanding of industry regulations including, but not limited to, CASS, MiFID II, COBS, and Consumer Duty.
  • Educated to minimum of A-level standard, with minimum of Grade C at GCSE English and Maths.
